Illuminated Signs and Lighting
A wide range of types of lighting for signs are available.
NEON AND COLD CATHODE
This traditional system can be used in wide variety of colours and sizes to provide vibrant intricate designs to provide high impact.
For example it can also be used for:
Architectural illumination
Internal illumination for halo effects and backlighting of built up letters
Fine line elevational detailing
And internal display lighting
LEDS
These are often used as a substitute for neon in built up letters for face or halo illumination.
It has a number of benefits in particular lower maintenance and running costs. They can also be used in edge lit displays and signs due to their brightness in relation to size of the led.
LIGHT BOXES
Aluminium light boxes can be supplied in most sizes for external and internal use.
Very large external signs often use signflex to provide continuous display and avoidance of wind damage.
A hinged system can be used for ease of maintenance. Bespoke light boxes can also be supplied in a variety of shapes to create distinctive individual signage.
Fluorescent tubes have been used traditionally in light boxes. With improved technology we now have a led replacement which provides an effective cost saving solution.
TROUGH LIGHTS
In some cases it is not desirable or possible to internally illuminate and trough lights are used.
These can be above or below the sign and also suit projecting and double sided signs.
For shaped signs a spotlight may be needed to provide the illumination.
Although trough lights have always used fluorescent tubes led systems can also be supplied.
LED REPLACEMENT LIGHTING
Internal display and room lighting is now available as led units.
